Fissure (depressions of teeth) sealing

It is desirable to conduct fissure sealing between the ages of 7 and 12 years. Due to anatomic structure, some parts of the tooth are inaccessible for the brush. This, basically, apply to rear masticatory teeth. On the masticatory surface, between dental tubercles, there are fissure-grooves.

Very often they are narrow and deep. Constantly neglecting their cleanness gives rise to caries development. To avoid this, stomatologist seals fissures with hermetic material.

This material (sealant) is liquid and can reach and fill up hard to access and deep areas. Like this teeth surface becomes flat and easy to clean, which, in its turn, creates a barrier for against penetration of microorganisms. After fissure sealing tooth is guaranteed against caries for 2 years.
